Tips for School Kids

As you can see, there is a lot to know about the voice, including the importance of looking after your voice throughout your life. The voice is a wonderful healer, and will readily recover from fatigue and damage if given adequate rest, however, try to minimise the occasions of strain. Shouting less is a very good start!

Your teachers are working in a job that demands a lot of them, vocally. Teachers are talking for most of the day, every day, and will often have to raise their voice to be heard over the general classroom noise. Many teachers experience regular vocal fatigue and will often sustain vocal damage.

As teachers, we would like to ask the students to please consider this as you sit in class. By helping to minimise the classroom noise, you will be helping the teachers to minimise the possibility of vocal damage. Thank you!
